12/10 - "Still Warm in Florida" Weekend Check In

I cannot stress enough how important "down time" can be, especially for pitchers. For teams that are still playing in Dec/Jan/Feb - when do your players rest?

Good Question JAD.. For us (12u 2yr). For Fall season, our pitchers are done before thanksgiving break. I think seven tourneys for the fall is good(Aug-Nov). Pitchers are off from late Nov till late January. We let our utility players guess play in Dec with other teams to continue skills. Feb starts school ball workouts and lite TB practice

We shut down Thanksgiving - mid January, so almost 2 months.

With our weather and Cali weather we pretty much play year round. We will get 2-3 weeks off for X-mas but some of our girls are going to College Winter Camps, OnDeck, ShowBall, Jerrad Hardin etc. We do get off for 3-4 weeks in August before starting again in Sept.
