When the ride is over and you look back at all those photos, medals, trophies, tourney shirts, and uniforms your eyes will tear up & your gut will feel empty. So, savor every minute of it now.

Very good advice and I actually dread that day believe it or not. Sure, its crazy and its hectic but I know I will sure miss it when the runaway train finally comes to a stop in just a handful of years! I am with pinata...i really have to force myself to sit on that bucket some days (while thinking of 1000 other things I should be doing!). But seeing how this game has helped both my DDs, and all their teammates, become strong, disciplined and confident kids keeps me focused when i'm feeling the burnout.

I know where you're coming from. But, every time I get like this I think about how the good times are going to end. My oldest is in college. We don't get to do much together anymore. My 11 & 12 year olds will be in that same situation in only 5-6 years. Then what do I have? Memories. So for today, I'm trying to make as many memories as I can.

Quick story on best softball moment to date: I'm coaching team, calling in pitches to my 12 yo catcher, who is relaying them to her 11 yo sister on the pitching rubber. In the middle of the game I thought to myself; "it just doesn't get any better than this".
