Not surprisingly, Arizona State is number 1 after Alabama got smacked by LSU.
Michigan is number 2. Texas, who's claim to fame is beating Long Island 10-0, is rising like a hot air balloon in Steamboat Springs. They are playing the mighty Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks this week followed by the North Texas Mean Green this week...so they are in no danger of losing a game. Since Texas is apparently picking opponents with wacky mascot names and a low RPI, how about the Presbyterian College Blue Hose?
The only games of interest last week were Alabama v. LSU. Interestingly, LSU also beat Texas. Coincidence? I think not. Tennessee is playing LSU this week. Should be interesting...will the LSU team that beat Texas and Alabama show up? Or will the LSU team that lost to Southern Miss and Kentucky show up?
It is nut-cutting time in Tempe. UCLA is playing Arizona State this weekend. Time for Arizona State to either put up or shut up.
In the "Wolverine Conference" (why pretend? Michigan owns every team in that conference), Michigan is going to wallop Illinois. (Illinois is destined to do its yearly NCAA tournament disappearing act. Why not give the Presbyterian College a bid? I need a Blue Hose t-shirt!)
