NECC Running Multiple 2-day Catching Camps in BEDFORD, NH: DEC. 13-14 & MAR. 14-15
Nationally known catching program The New England Catching Camp will finally be coming back home this Winter, partnering with the NH Sportsplex Sports and Training Center (68 Technology Drive, Bedford, NH) to conduct weekend catching camps December 13th–14th, 2014 & March 14th-15th, 2015. Jay, and NECC staff, will conduct camps, for both baseball and fast pitch softball, ages 8-18.
Each of those weekends, we will be offering a couple 2-day, 3-session (2-hrs each session) camp! One for the younger catchers and another for the older catchers. The 6-hour camps are cumulative and will cover every aspect of the catching position including stances, receiving, blocking, throwing (arm motion and mechanics on throws to the bases) and some fielding skills. Each catcher will be held to a standard that parallels their skill level. Coach Jay Weaver and his staff will have the ability to challenge the older catchers throughout the weekend with higher velocities (85+ MPH for the guys, 60+ MPH out of a windmill for the girls).
Weekend Camp #1: 8-12 year olds, Baseball and Softball
$225 ($200 if registration is received more than 30 days in advance of the camps):
Session 1 runs from 8am-10am on Saturday, Dec. 13th / Mar. 14th (stance, receiving, blocking)
Session 2 runs from 2pm-4pm on Saturday, Dec. 13th / Mar. 14th (throwing; arm motion and mechanics)
Session 3 runs from 12pm-2pm on Sunday, Dec. 14th / Mar. 15th (review of sessions 1&2 and fielding)
