Okay folks...you are going to think I am crazy, but I research extensively as part of my job. I read a lot of clinical material, theses, etc. I am currently helping a local gym in building their programming, and I have discovered that there are more benefits to juggling than I would have ever guessed!
Ambidexterity, Hand-Eye Coordination, Depth Perception, Peripheral Vision, Neuromuscular Balance, Quickness Under Control, and Concentration for such activities as Baseball hitting and Basketball Free throw shooting, according to the article listed below. Scientists have proven that it also can enlarge the brain. The two articles I have listed are worth exploring. I can't send you everyone I've read, but I encourage you to spend a little time researching it yourself. I have also read that it works the non-dominant side of your brain. What a great family fun, beneficial activity for sport, academics, and social skills. Nothing to lose, much to gain. http://justyouraveragejoggler.com/to...ing-to-juggle/ http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/5615.php Ang |
