Default ACL injuries foe Girls

Not sure any of you have had this problem with your daughters but I did:

Anterior Cruciate Tears in Young Athletes ? Why is this Injury More Common in Females?

Yes, unfortunately. My DD tore hers at the end of 2006. She's still not 100% but getting there. Long process to recovery.

A basketball coach would have his girls jump in the air and would check their knees when they landed to determine which ones could be ACL tear victims. I watched them for about 5 minutes, and I could see the knees splay outward on some of the girls. Really strange...

Conditioning Exercises to Prevent Knee Injuries

ACL are very frequent in young women. You need to do preventive work by training the muscles to decelerate or land. It's called "eccentric" contraction. Low intensity jump training helps and most important, all the stability devices to train balance are super important.

Any good sports conditioning specialist will know what to do.
