Thank you for the best wishes, sweet Lou. Right now according to my surgeon I should be back fully in between 12 and 16 weeks depending upon how I heal and how my rehab goes. I should be able to come back on the field of competition between September 2nd and September 30th.

I think this was stated in your other thread but the surgery is really only part 1. Getting a great physical therapist with a great program that you follow will do wonders for your recovery process. I don't think that can be overstated enough.

But you certainly seems like a motivated young lady so I wish you all the best.

I did find a good sports rehab department at Temple University which is where I'm going to go. After I complete PT, I'm going to find a private coach.

Gabby,

I've read your posts and it's very easy to see you are an intelligent and mature young woman. I'm sure many of the posters here want their DD's to follow your example. Good luck with your surgery and recovery. Listen to your doctor and do EVERYTHING she says. All of us here want to hear about your softball exploits when you get back on the field.

Thank you Sparky Guy for not only your kind words and well wishes, but reading about my ramblings and misadventures while going through school and being on the softball field. Also, thank you for saying about other dd of other great people who's going to read about what I've done and maybe be inspired to follow in my cleats.

I will do everything my doctor, surgeon and physical therapist tells me to do. You don't know how badly I want to be on that operating room table having those plates put in my arm and my elbow scoped so I can get back to holding a pen and writing normally again instead of making doodles on a sheet of paper when I attempt to write (I say that in humor. But really, I havd gotten better with writing with my right hand. My writing doesn't look like a jumbled mess and actually looks like something readable). I want to be able to get back to hitting 60 plus mile an hour fastballs for singles, grabbing softballs again...but most importantly...back to mowing down baserunners. I love being a rally killer and miss that thrill so much. I will keep you guys abreast on my journey. My ups and down and my misadventures when I return to he softball field.
