I first put this disclaimer out there I do not own or represent "ignite" of nwi! The core workouts have been phenomenal. We are working out in cedar lake Indiana at ignite and we are the only one in there at 100.00 a month. These workouts don't look tremendously hard, but my daughter has been so sore! Lol in 4 months I'm sure I'll see big gains on the diamond! I have been so impressed I'm taking my wife next week to let her participate in the class!

We are lucky enough to have a Velocity Sports Performance center close...DD hits it 3x's week during the off season. The benefits seem to be great...speed, agility, and core work make for a faster, stronger DD. Turning into quite the gym rat at 13

I had a new player come on board to my 12uB team in the fall and her father is very into the strength and conditioning. He has been running our conditioning stuff for 30 minutes before our hitting session (in the winter I work on strictly hitting then move outdoors to work on fielding) and has been keeping it fresh. Last weekend the girls were saying their abs were tight and this week it was their legs. He has been really making the girls work hard. I will split the girls up into 6 stations ( 2 of them being in the cage) and whoever is in the cage her partner is over with him doing some strength stuff: weight bands, yoga ball, medicine ball, etc. We also have a station with ladders which the girls actually love the best. I cant even begin to tell how you how pleased I am with the girls workouts and their output they are giving. Cant wait for SPRING

We are doing CROSSFIT all off-season. The difference in the strength is amazing. I know it is a hot topic whether it is not right for kids or not But, we have a crossfit kids certified instructor..I really dont see a difference in our workout compared to the crossfit competitors workout but whatever it is ...ITS WORKING! arm strength , explosiveness, leg strength (catchers) and endurance and stamina all increased greatly..likewise cant wait to see what it does on the field

As Amy said, Austin Wasserman for throwing. I would recommend Howard Kobota and his DVD set for fielding drills to instill proper technique and speed. You also may want to consider splitting off your Pitchers and Catchers for a time slot and work on specifics to them as well as catching techniques for your catchers. It never hurts to practice dropping/blocking, pop throw-downs to second and snap throws to 1st and 3rd. It would also behoove you to work on communication between your pitchers and catchers when the baserunner takes a big lead to prevent a delayed steal. If you don't feel confident in working with catchers, get the New England Catchers Camp DVD. Good Luck!
