I don't know if this is the right spot to post this but we are looking for a 12u B/C tournament for our yearly out of town tournament. We've been looking in OK, Wichita, Springfield, St. Louis and Iowa. Any suggestions? Would like to stay within a 5 hour drive and go somewhere where there are other things for our families to do.

Thanks!

I know a lot of people go to tourneys in Branson at the younger ages--LOTS of family fun there.

We've been to the Triple Crown in the OKC area. We went to a couple of the WCWS games (awesome) and the zoo, but there were plenty of other things to do as well. The only problem is the weather. It seems as though there are issues EVERY year. We were lucky not to be there the year of the tornado, but we still had huge delays due to rainstorms.

We've been to Pitch for the Cure in Bentonville (and environs) twice. It was very nice. Maybe not quite so much for the families to do--they do have the Walmart museum. We went to that and it was a nice outing. If you have a late game, plan ahead and buy some sandwich-makings. The sidewalks roll up early down there. We ended up with take-out from McD's at 1 am once :p because it and Waffle House were basically the only things open and we were so tired we couldn't bear the thought of sitting in a restaurant.

I would suggest looking at El Gigante tournament in Oklahoma. 8 game guarantee, 6 pool, double elimination. 3 days, at least 8 games, sounds like a good softball vacation to me

We went to Pitch for the Cure in Bentonville last year. It wasn't too bad but it was a straight bracket tourney, no pools. We only ended up playing 3 games so that was a bummer. We are going to the OKC tourney this year during the college world series. We'll hope for good weather.

I also noticed a post on KC Fastpitch about a tournament at Broken Arrow, OK at the end of March (might be spring break time?). I'm sure there are a lot of things to do in the Tulsa area and that wouldn't be a bad drive at all.

My daughter played in OKC one year during the CWS. The team had a great time and are going back.

Here in OK I second the Pitch for Cure and Triple Crown in Norman. Firelake in Shawnee/Tecumseh put on good tourneys and have very nice facilities(El Gigante). ASA Spring challenge at the HOF is a cool experience for the younger kids.
