Did they modify the configuration shown in the agenda before they passed it?Arizona has joined California, Nevada, and Hawaii in the Pacific Coast Region. it is now (as of Jan 1) known as Region 10, formerly Region 14.
Did they modify the configuration shown in the agenda before they passed it?
Based on map in agenda:
- No more single-state regions. Ohio is now in Central Atlantic with WV, MD, DE, VI and NC. Texas is in Southwest with NM and OK.
- Southeast (AR, LA, MS, AL) looks weak compared to neighboring Southwest and South Atlantic (TN, GA, SC, FL).
The configuration that was in the agenda was approved and passed by the Board of Directors earlier in 2016. The Council was not required to vote on it.
I do not have any information as to the thought process in re-aligning the regions.
