Let me say this about one of your comments Screwball, never did I say little girls are a pain in A__. Complex yes, at ten they are between teenage and letting the Barbie dolls go, things are changing physically and mentally (they develop quicker than boys), some can take a stern talking others cannot, women are not men and men are not women (thank God). I may not be the great coach as some here are but I as a father know how little girls are......I have 2 (11 and 13)that I have raised by myself for the past 10 years. My house has a revolving door for all their friends to come over, rarely is just my girls and I at the house, think there is 3 here now that are not mine. They all doing girl stuff, painting toe nails and what nots.......I do not understand that, it is complex to me but not an A__.

Main thing is plenty of praise to the young pitchers and make them smile. That was my input until my words were twisted.

I have to defend screwball here, never did screwball say you said that, just a observation in general by how some male coaches feel and act towards women or girls. My dd is 13yo and I also have been a single father since she was 15 months old,so I to have alot of knowledge of how little girls are... now one of your suggestions is plenty of praise to young pitchers and make them smile. If you were my dd's coach, you might end up with a ball in your ear,she hates it when she is pitching and the coach is praising her,and never tell her to smile when she is pitching. She hates that ,she says Iam not out there trying to win Miss. America, and she feels that if she smiles, then the batter has a edge,no smile, all business ,so what Iam saying is not every girl likes to be praised,my dd wants the coach to tell her how it is,not sugar coat it.
