Nice find! I really wish I could find this video hosted someplace besides youtube to get the full use of 1000 frames per second instead of Youtubes NTSC 29 frames per second ;(

Looks like fastballs to me, what frame do you think you're seeing a rise? Rise balls are usually pretty easy to see in super slow motion, as the index finger is the last to leave the ball and is will be pointing either straight at the catcher or in the direction of the sky. :38 looks like a peel drop, I mean fastball, I mean peel drop, I mean. . . .

:38 is what i was thinking was a riseball. i thought that because she was trying to get so low she was trying to get under the ball? but even if it is a fastball or a peel? it's a great video to actually see the release of those pitches. when you try to watch these great pitchers release? the naked eye doesn't have a chance because their wrists move so fast.

I don't know if this is the same format as youtube, but here it is at a different location:

Softball Power Drive - mechanics in slow motion 1000 FPS on Vimeo

For those that do not know, there is an option on the control bar to view the clip in full screen, it is the little icon at the end of the control bar (mouse over the bottom of the frame).
