Send me a pm with an email address.....I have a drill called "Pull Together" that should help fix the issue you and Corlay are discussing. I agree that it is an issue.
Rick

Hello Rick. When I pm'ed you it says you have exceeded you storage limit and cannot receive messages until some space has been cleared. I will try again. Thanks.

Also, we worked this evening on pulling the drag foot through. Below is another vid.

1st still ....WoW...let's just say there is a lot to like going on here. I'm not sure anything looks wrong with the hips here, nice heel up and laces to catcher...would be great to come around to the side view for a different angle before even beginning to think about changing anything else. Also beside side view show whole motion looks like she has a slight hop forward at the end which could be a sign of not enough front side resistance but the clip cuts off.

2nd still. I know you want to focus on one thing which is great because you don't want to overload her but as a previous poster said lots of things are interconnected something that she might think about is working on is the power line. I can see she lines up on the far right of the plate and lands to the far left of what would be the lane. This might seem like a little thing but what it means is now she can't throw the ball straight so she has a very little lean right while she is trying to close her hips and throw which are forces working opposite of each other and could effect brush although it seems OK. I think this is probably not effecting her much because it is a very small distance and lean but every little bit helps.

3rd still... pet peeve practice does not make perfect...perfect practice makes perfect...let's not make this a habit

Finally did I say how much she looks really good. :)

I keep looking at Lizzy's video from May 2016 and have to ask a few questions.
1. How far out is she landing? It looks like she is a bit long........my old standard measure is that an intermediate pitcher should land about 6 inches longer then they are tall; an advanced pitcher should land about 12 inches longer then they are tall.
2. If you look at that May video it appears that her arm circle timing is off a bit.....and probably because of over striding. Her ball arm appears to be at 9 o'clock when the landing foot plants solidly on the ground........my preference is that the ball arm be somewhere between 10 o'clock and 9:30 for best energy transfer.
3. I sign up for the old adage "it's not how far off the rubber you get that is important...it's how fast you get there that's important"

Thanks Rick. The stride length is definitely something she struggles with.

I'm not sure how to post the actual video instead of just a link to it. Is that possible on here?

On YouTube you'll see the word Share. Click on that and it will give you a couple of options. Click on Embed, then copy and paste the link in your message. That should do it.

We have been working on adducting the leg/arm and stacking up providing good front side resistance. I can already see improvements in the full pitch. Not going to say she is to where she needs to be by any means but just focusing on this for a week has really helped. It also amazes me now that DD has gotten a little older and able to control her body a little better, it is SO much easier for her to accomplish things is a shorter amount of time. Makes me wonder if waiting to start pitching until a child is a little older would be beneficial rather than starting them out at 8,9 or 10. Anyway, just wanted to share DD's drill work so it may help others.

For those that have helped with this, thank you very much. It is much appreciated.

...and once you incorporate some "rhythm" in this static drill,
move on to at least a walk-through as soon as possible.

Or run the risk of mastering the drill, but unable to translate these new motions into a full-pitch.
