Any of your DD's throw a curve as a change up ? Been thinking about playing around with this after we get the drop working right. We have thrown this alittle in the back yard, usually just goofing off, but she has long fingers and can get some good spin on it. I've read through a few threads where the curve was some girls fastest pitch, dd's is the cut fastball that I think riseball may have posted, just wondering about slowing the curve down and seeing If it would be a good 3rd pitch. Thoughs??

My dd isn't real consistent with it due to the fact that she doesn't practice it enough but she can tuck two knuckles and changes nothing else and it ends up being an offspeed curve.

This is from memory and not facts to back me up.

Pretty much players I have seen clocked their pitches are the same speed except CU.

I think it is a free for all for a CU as long as the speed is right.

One of our pitchers throws that, great pitch, hitters have a fit with it. Same issue though, control is tough.

That's the one!

Here's the best one (off-speed Curve) I've ever seen

Currently working with a 2018 that throws a very good traditional curve at about 50mph which is a very effective complement to her 2 seam that she brings in the 60+ range. I really like the pitch especially when it has some down to it and can move down and away from throwing side hitters. I think the corkscrew is a great pitch to throw off speed, something that does not work well with a 2 seam which is more of a power pitch.

Here's a game DD was working on her CorkScrew... a couple years ago...Might
want to view on You-Tube full-screen...or just watch the catchers glove.
