Wow! What an amazing 2 days this has been. I'm speechless, exhausted, overwhelmed and sunburnt. We drove from Florida to Ny for a pitching lesson! We were going to the northeast to see family anyway so it was just a little detour in our trip so if it sucked it wouldn't been to terribly disappointing. Yea, I'm that crazy pitching parent. First off, Java is freakin amazing! My husband is feeling a little jealous right now cuz I'm just in awe and can't shut up about him. . It was intimidating, enlightening, exciting, humbling, and inspiring. This might sound stupid but there was a few times during the lesson I was close to tears then after when we got in the car and started talking, rose and I both were in tears. Corny I know but if you knew my kid you'd get it. She just takes it so serious, too serious most of the time, but that's who she is. It has been an emotional 2 days But in a good way if that makes sense? (I know the bucket moms will get it) The struggle is real! going to so many coaches, reading so much online putting in so much time, effort and money then we come to a point where we/she are spinning our wheels. Now, there is hope. This is the difference, this is what it looks like when someone Really cares, really knows their stuff. Java is on a different stratosphere. My kid is a hard case and he nailed it, Nailed it. We traveled quite the distance to see him, he asked us at the end "well, was it worth it?" That's a resounding yes! Hands down, No question. I'm already planning our next trip. I'm excited for Rose , if she takes it to heart great things will happen for her pitching, we could see it already, instant improvement in body awareness, spin and speed, and the change holy crap, that thing is going to be deadly. I learned so much, I thought I knew lots about pitching, Nope! And he's still learning, and probably always will be, cuz that's who he is. It rekindled my fire to keep up the good fight and learn All I can, to help kids/athletes. But first I really really need a nap! My brain, body is crashing.

pretty much the same reaction we (pitcher, parents, myself) had after our first visit. pitcher and parents continue to see java and I will continue to see who else I can send his way. good news is she has been called up to varsity. bad news is I have lost my starting pitcher. lol.

I consider myself lucky to have the privilege to work with you both.

Rose is an angel... obviously a bi-product of a phenomenal set of parents. Cheri, I look forward to the many, many years of softball knowledge you will bestow in this crazy world of softball.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I was incredibly impressed by the questions Rose brought on day two. Smart young lady that will surely continue to grow in this game. Be in touch soon. Keep on keeping on! ;)

I second every emotion, mothgirl... but especially this one: "This is the difference, this is what it looks like when someone Really cares, really knows their stuff." Mike always makes sure that all of our trips are worth it.

All of you DFP gurus, this is the kind of effect you have on the families you work with... Keep up the great work, and thank you!
