I thought that the consensus was to find someone who doesn't teach HE.

Dr. Werner is an advocate for the Finch Windmill trainer (you decide for yourself if that device teaches good arm whip mechanics?).
I have seen the majority of these drills when my daughter was learning HE. In my personal experience they had limited value. To each their own but until I stumbled upon this site and the experts here, my daughter was experiencing shoulder pain and was on the cusp of dropping pitching all together.
Wow... and I thought some of the posters in the technical hitting section were toxic. Congratulations sir, you win the internet. *Mental note* Never come to the pitching thread again until you worship at the altar of Bill Hillhouse.
Plenty of people disagree with Hillhouse on plenty of points.
The one thing you won't find much disagreement on is the fact any sensible person shouldn't want to waste time or money to be taught the drills in that video. Not only were the drills pointless, I would say a couple were dangerous.

I don't understand the "hate" for Bill. He has done nothing in this thread. He comes onto this site like a lot of others in an attempt to share thoughts, opinions, and help.
And the Xecelerator thingy. (I only made one comment about his FB ad and he's blocked me from commenting. The windmill trainer prolly has some value as a therapeutic aid, but that whacker on a string is highway robbery. The guy is a snake oil salesman in my mind...
This thread went south in a hurry! Although Bill is not the only pitching coach that teaches what most here know are proper mechanics, he is the only one I have found close to our area. You just need to be aware that some of his methods can cause blindness!
