watched game 02 of the MICH/MIZZOU series this past weekend.
I found it interesting how long Megan Betsa (MICH) keeps her "hands together" as part of her pitching motion.
Rules say hands must come together between 1-10 seconds and then the pitcher must immediately deliver the pitch.
I found myself doing "1 mississippi's", to test just how close Betsa pushes the upper range of that limit., out of curiosity.
I found that she hovers in that 8-10 range, but late in the game, after she was re-inserted, she had some pretty long ones...
I do not suspect that this would EVER be called IP in a game,
but just found it interesting. If anything, usually girls flirt with the short side of the 1-10 second rule,
with barely a touch of ball hand and glove hand.
