Just looking some advice on what we need to address fundamentally to help her get better as a pitcher. An increase in velocity (not sure of her speed as it has never been clocked but she is above average compared to the other pitchers we have faced this season but not the top end) and command. She plays 12U travel ball and has done pretty well this year. But she wants to take that next step. She has no coach (only old school and hello elbow taught around here as far as I have found). So unfortunately she has been stuck with just her dad (me) to help her. Anything would be helpful. Feedback on an issue, drills, etc. She has a tendency to collapse over her front leg some and I think some of that is because of not getting her push off foot moving forward fast enough and digging into the ground too hard. But I could be wrong

I see her as not being aggressive enough in her motions, the drive and arm circle look tentative to me and the motion just lacks rhythm. I would love to see what she looks like during a K drill and a walk through. I can't say what specifically I would choose to improve first just yet, but the main candidates would be drive power and timing, front side resistance and brush, but those are always the things I see so maybe my paradigm is coloring my input.

hopefully the bump will prod some others to chime in.

check out the post below first for drive photos.

Hopefully this work not sure what's going on with inserting pictures (think just tried too many forgot maybe five is the limit) but here is the result at plant in distance traveled.

This also points out the timing issue look at model pitchers at foot plant they are at 9 oclock while your DD is at 12, some of that can be attributed to the fact that her plant foot gets down quickly because it does not travel anywhere if it had gone out another foot or two that would take time which would mean her arm would have traveled further, I'm not an expert so I can't say how much is due to this versus other issues she might have

This post really was supposed to go first but had issues with photos

Let's address drive power so you can see what we are talking about first look at the sprinter or h position as she pushes off. Look at how you can see everything pushing hard in the shot of Jennie and Amanda and how it compares to your DD. They also have their arms locked out reaching as far as they can in coordination with their leg drive you don't see bend in the arm until the rotation at 12 oclock when the ball goes from facing 1B to facing 3B.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys. And for the first poster I will try to upload some additional videos. I did notice the arm position at foot plant when I slowed the video down but didn't catch the initial push off and reach. Keep the info coming!!

Her drive foot turns completely toward third base when she begins her drive. Look at the foot position of the two model p's. during drive.

Last thing at release she does not look too bad but I think the timing thing is what is causing a slight issue the stills you see below the ball is almost at exactly the same point but her lower half is too far along you can tell by looking at her knees they are together while model pitchers are still apart, same with posture, her posture is actually not bad compared to many pitchers I've seen she only has a very slight lean forward where if you look at the model pitchers they are still back or straight up and down, they never even after they are completely finish lean forward.

Now how to fix all that I would await a few real experts to chime in...
