I was finally able to get dd to understand that the tricep has to engage in order to lock in the elbow and to feel the difference between that and relaxed!!! Threw several buckets using the 3/4 circle drill by Boardmember and it has made a huge difference. She is finally starting to feel the whip. She pitched 3 innings of LL on Tuesday and had 7 S.O. and 1 walk. It looks to me like she has slowed her arm circle down some, but has not really lost any velocity due to the whip. Now if I can just get her to speed that up and remain loose. One step at a time.

Awesome. She already tells me things like "that's so 80's". I did tell her last game that every time she whips that I was going to nae nae.

Don't be so afraid of the locked arm as she strides forward towards the plate. Once at 12 o'clock and the arm rotates (from ball facing 1B to facing 3B) the arm should begin to bend and flex as the whip really begins

and while it was not what you wanted to focus on the finish has to be corrected as well, she won't progress bending over like that nose up, stand tall, finish stragiht it does not matter what that verbal cue or mechanism is but you have to get her to feel what it feels like to finish correctly then once she does that she can self correct. Disregarding the lines at the knee, I used an old shot too lazy to make another just focus on back

Thanks. After posting the video earlier this month, we spent the week working on posture. It has improved as well. Hopefully I can post some more video tomorrow.

I'm no one, just a bucket dad so maybe someone with more knowledge will help but one thing that sticks out to me most concerning her drive is her stride leg straightens quickly. I think she would get better drive if she had the thought of driving with her knee instead of her foot. She's looks like she's reaching with the foot instead of driving with the knee.
