I did a search but didn't find anything - anybody used one of these for pitching? The Power Drive thing looks cool but costs 10 times as much.

I bought one long time ago on the advice of our PC. I really love it. I use it, I think it works great gets your foot in a good position for take off. I couldn't afford spending $250? On a power drive but $10 def worth a try!

Now my dd wanted me to get it and then she never wanted to use it (she's very stubborn) but she actually started using it herself last week without me even saying anything about it

I would like to here what RP, Java, Ken or the others think about it though? I know it feels powerful when I use it but I'm not sure if that translates to my real pitch, if it actually helps. Maybe if my dd used it consistently it would help her try to get that same feeling in her drive, ...I know that's the idea.

The power drive REALLY gets the upper and lower body in position correctly and gives them positive feedback (noise and motion) that they loaded correctly. Ive been using one for a few years and when teaching the drive it REALLY does help.

I've never used one and can't see how it would be super helpful for what I do. Since adopting the 2 step, it seems like it would be tough to help teach that feel.

I do think the Balance Pod is a great addition to a strength and conditioning program:

We have both the power pod and power drive. Use both of them, keep the power pod in our bucket to use when we are outside pitching in the dirt. The power drive is mainly used inside. Happy with both products, but the power drive seemed to get my DD in the proper position easier every time, thus building the muscle memory.

I also own both....don't use either one. The Java two step does the job. These tools don't teach how to actually explode. They simply put the foot in a more desirable position.
I use the pod for hitting drills sometimes. It helps with the launch if a batter is all rotational.

I went ahead and ordered it. Like JAD said, for $10 why not give it a try. Especially since we can use it with hitting too. We'll see how it goes. We're a week away from starting a little practice again. :)
