I am starting to think maybe my DD is making too much contact.

Thoughts?

Uhm looks good to my novice eyes. That's what I am working with my DD on right now . Getting her Coming knee to knee so the hip gets slightly in front of the arm instead of running back and away from it

It does look like one of the more extreme examples I have seen, as long as you think there is no potential for injury (and I am no expert on this) then let the results decide.

You know I don't know.... but really like the look of the pitch.... is this the same video as before???

I can tell you how to get less.... put more angle on front foot... full 45, and even more.... I would like to see the whole pitch...

Was hoping to get your comments on DD Last Night 11-16-2015

She doesn't get bruising or anything and accuracy and speed are pretty good. She is on a quest for 60 so We are trying to squeeze an extra mph here and there and really fine tune. and I am beginning to think contact more up the forearm will leverage the forearm better for speed as opposed to contact closer to the wrist like she does now. she's hitting 57 regularly now and I think she has a couple of mph she can wring out of her drive, but there is also something in the release that looks sub optimal to me, either in the brush or in the timing of when she firms up be the contact. It's subtle but something is just not right.

I see a quasi turn-out at about 11:00, and a straight arm from 9:00 or 8:00 to brush contact/release (6:00).

Maybe work on getting from "show-it" at 12:00 to
"palm-up" at 9:00 without any turn-out; and see if that smooths-out the brush contact?

Dad to Dad..... the clip doesn't show the elements of the DM.

Jake's former teammate Ilona Andringa had even more and is doing very well both at Chpiola and as a pitcher for the Dutch National Juniors team. I had planned to get video of her the last time I went to Chipola but we were rained out. Then 2 weeks later the same in Gainesville. I will be sure to get some video as it will be a great teaching clip.

Don't forget the RB clips you owe us for your DD. you got a pass due to an act of God and an injury but you are still on the hook.
