What?!?! No RLG???

Good thread! Any bets on which three take the last three spots? Could be about anything from javasource or Hillhouse. I like a few of Scarborough's videos as well.

The Scarborough Powerdrive video is what got us started. Something "clicked" with it for me and the bucket became my second home :). Perhaps someone could post that one.......great thread!

Great thread Doug!

What i would like to see from the experts is a drill that has focus on posture for 3rd base lean and for home plate lean...CP

Agreed. Love this thread but I too would like to some expert advice on drills for posture and finishing tall. I am having a hard time getting rid of my DD's lean.

Thanks.

Was just watching some Balswick clips, and when it was done a RLG clip came up.... I watched it, she sure has a lot of emphasis on the wrist snapping straight up. She even made reference to how a palm down after release is all wrong.

I think that might be an old video. She's now teaching palm up at 9 and a natural finish. She's still needing to brush up on the release and a few other areas, though.

Supplemental - Scarborough

I treat this as a great supplement to the Top 10. Counting the Balswick clips as one, I think we're at 5.

Coming up.... More Javasource, Pauly, and Boardmember. I'd also like to post a Hillhouse clip.

I'm not sure if Balswick isn't a proponent of keeping the hand inside the ball or if he's just missing that emphasis in his videos but they all show his hand behind the ball earlier than what is always recommended here. Maybe it's the fact that he seems to always be demonstrating a drop but it still seems too early to me. What's your thoughts?

Balswick advocates ball/palm facing third at 9 and wants 12/6 spin. He might be exaggerating the hand position in the video, but I guarantee he teaches whip. We spent an hour talking about this and although it was an awesome discussion, he was fine sticking with what he's always done. Who can argue with his resume'!?!

Definitely not arguing but it's interesting. Glad to know you had the discussion. Still can't help to think this might be one thing that even an expert could tweak or emphasize to be even better than they already are. I believe Hillhouse is the same way in his teachings.
