Thanks for the clarification on the differences between models, exactly the info I was just looking for! Also, appreciate the offer of a DFP discount.

Thanks for responding Chris. I'm sold and will be ordering mine soon. An added bonus is you are located in my hometown but LA based now. Best of luck to you and your company.

Thanks! I am always happy to help. Please let me if there is ever anything we can do to help or if anybody ever has any questions about radar in general. - Chris

FYI - I just ordered the Pocket Radar Ball Coach and currently they have a bundle special that includes the pocket radar gun, the 59inch tri-pod, smartphone holder for video shoot, rechargeable battery pack for $299.

I took this video about a year and a half ago. It looks like the angle is really bad, but this is set up literally 2 feet to the right of where I'm catching the ball. Anyone that has DD that pitches should own one. If you're a coach...you NEED one. Great for ball exit speeds and overhand throws from all players, not just catchers. The continuous mode is great. When we're working on speed I can set it up and not pay attention to it, then review the readings with the memory recall. Once in a while as you see in the video, it picks up the pitchers backswing.

One quick note for those of you using the Ball Coach radar in the Constant-On mode on a tripod. If you get some rechargeable AAA batteries at the grocery store or hardware store they go a lot longer. Since the chemistry of the batteries is very different, they last longer on a charge. I have done extensive testing of the battery life with Alkaline batteries and the NiMH rechargeable batteries. The Alkaline AAA batteries will go a little over an hour in Constant-on mode and the rechargeable batteries will go for about 2 hours and 20 minutes with a fresh charge plus they are reusable. Please let me know if I can help with anything. Chris Stewart, President / Pocket Radar, Inc.
