I signed uo for coach's Eye(thank you to members mentioning it..:)) and 1st video posted is a drop ball...(fingers crossed and hope this works). Yes, dad wasn't paying attention and almost got hit...a little shaken up but he is good. :p

The drop looks good. I would watch out for the lean to her right, by keeping her energy right down the powerline. FWIW, to throw the drop, DD shortens her stride slightly, stays compact, and likes the cue "get on top of the ball" right before release. Another point is you want to keep it at the knees or lower (it seemed a little high in the video?) Also, if you have access to a RevFire gun, they are great for working on increasing spin rates and better movement. DD's numbers are around 20rps with low 50's speed for a 13YO.

Re: dad almost getting hit. I recently bought myself shin guards, an umpire's mask, and will now frequently wear my steel toed boots when catching DD (especially her drop ball). Have heard too many stories of broken toes, black eyes and even hairline fractures to the shin bone. Not worth it anymore to catch these talented kids without major protection.

Good luck on that drop. It can be a very effective pitch in her arsenal.
