My DD 17 and a senior. She is a pitcher but with no aspirations to pitch in college. She does however want to compete her senior year for a state title. Problem is that she has a crow hop. It doesn't ever get called except in the state tourney. We are working to correct but her drag foot knee keeps kicking out to the right despite my best efforts and she keeps on replanting...any input on drills etc would be greatly appreciated....frustrated in Louisiana...thanks in advance

Your best bet is to put a towel or cloth under her foot that she needs to kick forward.

If she replants her arm is behind her body. From your post you just want to stop the replant but it might be worth posting a video to see if she can get more in sync.

The NCAA rules is

10.4.6 Crow hopping is not allowed. The pitcher may not replant, gain a second starting point and push off her pivot foot. Once having lost contact with the
pitcher’s plate, the pivot foot may trail on the ground but may not bear weight again until the pitch is released.

I don't see her doing that.

By the way, read the thread entitled "IR in the Classroom". She'll bring the state trophy home for sure.
