Anybody......?

I think BM is correct. Throwing a curveball is achieved by turning the door knob, rotating the upper body at release, with the hand finishing across to the opposite pocket. The effect is corkscrew spin and the ball does curve.

I had a clip sent via message that shows a very good 9-3 spin. It was more of a pocket to pocket forearm/hand motion and did not have an upper body component to speak of.

I'd love to find a good clip of Cat throwing hers.

Semantics...

Actually there is a huge difference. A true curve with 9-3 (+/-) rotation can move significantly and may fool the batter, whereas a bullet spin may have a minimal amount of movement due to drift but more often than not gets hit very hard.

I was catching for one of our pitchers yesterday she throws bullet spin everything. She throws harder then my dd, but it was way easier catching for her, I could see the ball way better, I think it's cuz of the bullet spin

This is one of the highest level female pitchers in the nation.......

I doubt she'd be throwing the pitch I describe/teach if it tended to get hit really hard......
