I've coaches 8U coach pitch for 4 seasons and it was a blast!! My daughter and many of her teammates are moving up to 10U player pitch and I have no idea what I'm doing when it co as to softball pitching. We have 1 girl that pitched last season in 10U after that we have no experience. I've watched some you tube videos and picked up a couple things ie. wrist flip, hand behind the ball, powerline. Where can go to figure this all out so I can help guide these infant pitchers?

The reality is the pitchers parents and their DD need to prepare themselves to pitch. No first year 10U team coach can really do it for them. You can show them the basics, i.e. Hillhouse basic pitching DVD or BM "I/R in the classroom" but my suggestion is to identify a couple of kids who want to pitch and have their parents take them to weekly pitching lessons. They need to practice a minimum 3X a week throughout the season. It's a ton of work that only a few kids (and parents) will want to put in the time and energy to pursue.

Hope that helps?

This is exactly where DD was when she turned nine last fall. We did exactly what Rocketech proposes through the winter. She went from a complete novice in the fall to best pitcher in her 10u little league in the spring and competitive travel pitcher. We logged around 10,000 pitches over the winter between twice a week buckets sessions with me and weekly visits to the pc, though she does not do wrist snaps, and has her hand under the ball for most pitches. :)
