Playing travel ball again and loving it

It has been awhile since I posted any updates about my daughters pitching. She took some time off from travel ball and did rec ball. They had a good season, winning their district. Not only did my daughter pitch well but she regained some of her confident that she lost. She has guest played several high school travel ball tournaments and did shockingly well(another boost of confidence). Last weekend, my daughter had a chance to guest play in a showcase tournament. Even though she didn't get to pitch a lot, the level of confidence that she gained playing with and against these girls was priceless. It seemed like every time she was in, they ended up pulling her because of different colleges stopping by to see their pitcher ...which I fully understand. The innings she did pitch, no one scored on her...which helped her confidence tremendously.


I did get some burst shots on her first pitch from her first inning of playing showcase. Please don't judge too harshly on the camera quality nor the photographer...I admit to being a bad photographer.

So glad she is back in the game! I read your previous posts and was hoping that she would continue playing!

Letting her play rec ball was what she needed at that moment of her life. She went from not being used in the batting lineup to being lead off on her team. She hit some doubles and triples and hit two home runs, one being a grand slam. Not only she played with confidence but she was cheering her teammates on, with her being so shy was a nice change of pace.
The travel ball team she guest played with had her batting 4 or 5th...and she got to play 2nd base when not pitching, something she hasn't gotten a chance to do in a while. I was worried that she wouldn't want to play anymore and just give up.
