Stupid question, but I thought that at release you want to be in the open position, in the GIFs, it appears they are closing the door, almost as if the "brush" is pushing the rear hip to closing the door, am seeing it wrong?

FFS...I don't get posting random GIFs showing BI. It doesn't seem like these advance the discussion.

Having GIFs available allow for well targeted discussions on the topic. Gives folks an opportunity to view the action and make their own decisions.

Curious why the GIFs of Abbot and others were removed.

Bold ... IMO what often occurs is a pitcher learns to adapt their posture to avoid brush-assisted-whip.

Red-Bold ... I don't agree with that. Mike White made no bones about it. He taught elbow to hip for power and lower arm whip. Claimed it resulted in speed and spin. Didn't see it as futile at all.

Five, all I am sayng is that good posture creates BI. If your posture bad... it's kinda goofy to fix it by trying to get brush. That is not a quote about ADduction.

SB, the elbow shouldn't slam into the hip... if so, the whip is less than optimal. The distal end of the whip is the hand... an elbow slamming the hip means that the hand is not accelerating... to, as BM once stated, suck the energy out of the upper arm. I haven't seen C in awhile... would you mind emailing a regular speed clip or two (not highspeed) of her pitching? Is it her froearm or fingers that swell... or both?
