I have wondered about a best glove for a pitcher that beats the heck out of her leg.
Anybody have an opinion on which glove out there is the lightest mass and/or has the best padding to ease the blow on the leg?

one without long laces, it will whip the crap out their leg
Pants with long sliders underneath helps with padding. 
DD does slap her leg, but only hard enough that it's just red afterwards...now if she got a new glove with new laces and is wearing shorts, that's a different story! When she first started pitching, she did have bruises all up and down her thigh...but I am sure this was just her trying too hard. But now she is used to it, and it just gets red.

The laces were the only thing that she would ever complain about if she happened to forget and wear running shorts when we practice. New glove doesn't have the laces to make it sting.

I forget which glove it is, but Cat Osterman has a signature glove that has the lacing set up so there are no knots on the back of the finger side of the glove that hits the leg. This tells you a little something about the divine Miss C's opinion on slapping your thigh. Her take on it is it is better to redesign the glove than the pitcher.
