This was my dd yesterday she was practicing and pitching pretty good. My husbands hand hurt after catching for her.
I know she's still got lots to work on but she's making progress and so happy for that because she was stagnant for a while!
Any feedback is appreciated!
Tonight she pitched in a game and it looked like it was in slo mo! Every pitch looked like a change, she still did great she had no walks, Struck out 6, no runs came in on her (she only pitched 2innings) just wish she would pitch faster in games.

A lot of younger pitchers will slow down in games out of fear of losing control, walking/hitting batters, etc. If it continues, get her out of the habit by having her throw one pitch per batter that is full throttle and move up from there. Before you know it, she'll be throwing full speed in games.

Video her in her game as well, show her the differences she makes in pitching at home and in the games. That way she is aware of the differences and not just the fact that you say she looks slower, most of the time the pitcher doesn't think she pitches slower. Then she can have a goal of getting her game mechanics to simulate closer to her home mechanics. Small steps, like previously stated, one pitch per batter, one whole batter count, one game, etc.

I like that idea also! I have video taped her in games and she used to go back to pushing the ball in games, she didn't do that last night! I should consider that a big step:)! I didn't video her last night but I will next game, thank you for your ideas!!!

She usually asks to be videoed in games because she wants to see the difference she says. I just didn't take any video last night, I'm usually so intent on watching the game I forget to video her. She also tells me she is being more controlled because she wants to be accurate. I don't know how to make her see that she is actually more accurate full speed. But your ideas are where I will start!!
I don't radar her in a game, never have, I don't even own a radar yet.
I kinda think it would be good for her to get used to the video and radar and not let it bother or change the way she pitches.

We say pitchers have a "top speed" and a "cruising speed". Top speed is usally 2-3 MPH faster than the cruising speed and as the pitcher becomes more confident in her abilities the two become almost identical.
