Post a video for comprehensive help. In the mean time check where her hand finishes. Many converts from HE tend to release on an upward angle and throw high. Get consistent with the finish and you will get the ball down.

Her arm is locked straight out. Video her snapping the ball into her glove at her hip, then compare and contrast with what she does from a full motion.

Look at the elbow.
Check out this excellent GIF from Knightsb that was tweaked by FFS

When you have her snap into her glove I will be surprised if she does not immediately flex the elbow.
The mechanics of the glove snap are usually correct and things go south when they throw from the full motion.

In addition to the previous post, I would also look at the hip-shoulder rotation at release. The shoulders follow the hips. If the hips rotate to 90 degrees the shoulders will usually continue rotating and make it difficult to consistently keep the ball down. The video shows an excellent example of the shoulder at release. Good luck
