This is my DD throwing her 4 pitches at the end of her pitching practice. fastball, change, drop, and curve. The curve she got on top of on this one.

Shes just coming back from a 2 month layoff from little league shoulder and I just wanted to see if any of the experts think of her mechanics.
Shes on the upper end of 10u A ball in our area.

Honestly, I don't see any difference in the pitches and not sure what mechanics are there getting a curve (I don't see the proper mechanics in the limited view), but 10 year olds, in reference to above, should not be throwing curves.

Wow! Just wow!!

I thought the CU stood out as being distinctly different and was fairly well done.

Honestly, I can't see, how you don't see, the difference in that pitch.

her form looks pretty good. We need to see something from the side.

I think she needs to work on the drop and forget the curve for now.

Well there you go NBD........The fact that Screwball can't see the difference in DD's pitches means she's doing great!

I have ZERO comment on 3 of 4 pitches.........They are OUTSTANDING.

With her curveball, she needs to "snap" the ball with her hand moving more toward her glove side pocket, and allow her shoulders and hips to follow that direction in the finish..........

Right now, she's "shoving her rear hip and shoulders foward" through release........

Her hips and shoulders need to "follow the snap direction", which should be toward her glove side pocket........Not "lead the snap direction"......Which is impedeing her ability to get the hand/ball moving toward the curve direction........Vs. away from it.........

Her drop and change are OUTSTANDING for a 10U........Really good..........

Very impressive kid, OP.

Her change is really nice, and that peel-type drop is coming along nicely. Her curve... as BM suggests... snap that hand into the left pocket and let the body follow. Her fb looks really, really good, too. Very impressed with her utilization of forearm articulations for each of these pitches... kid has a bright future, and a decent PC.
