Do most people purchase a re fire for personal use or rather pitching coaches buying them? Thought about looking for a used one but wasn't sure how much I would use it or to get my monies worth.
It is a handy tool to have if your DD is a pitcher and you are trying to measure her "progress". I bought one a couple of years ago and probably used it a dozen times or so. It has not been out of the sports closet in over a year. The same thing happens to most radar guns - they get a lot of use when they are new, but once the novelty wears off it the use dwindles.

That's a bummer. FYI - when I bought my RevFire in Dec they forgot to include the manual and I called them. The customer service was great and they shipped me a manual the next day.
On a separate note: In January, DD used the revfire 4 or 5 times (over a three week period) before her next tournament. She didn't pitch that well and was throwing some pitches high on the backstop, walking more players than usual, etc.. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not but I was thinking that the weight of the ball and/or attempting to get more spin on the ball at practice might have effected her control? Anyone else have this problem? She hasn't used it since and has been pitching fairly well the last few months. It's got me scratching my head because I like the product and seems to be a must have for pitchers. Sorry for the high jack...
