The talk of Hillhouse reminds me- if she doesn't do it already, have her practice flipping/spinning the ball with her fingers when she's at home, odd moments throughout the day. That will help her and it could maybe serve as a substitue for the wrist flips where if she gets in the habit, any time she goes to throw she will be "ready" to move to the next step of the warmup rather than forcing wrist flips.

DD still does wrist snaps at 18U. It's evolved into more of an arm whip now, but it's still part of her warm up routine. She's not an IR pitcher because nobody has heard of that around here, but I do see her incorporating many of the same things you guys talk about.

She may be closer than you think. I rarely find players that are 100% textbook HE. I have found that it is easier with the older players and converted most without telling them what was actually happening. They are more receptive to some ongoing tweaks than we are learning a new way and here is why. Since it is more natural than HE, many like Jenny Finch just end up that way. May want to see if she can get the ball from palm down to palm up at 9. That in and of itself may make a big difference and "feel better" to her.
