Oklahoma's Paige Parker pitches third perfect game of the season
Oklahoma pitcher Paige Parker became the first Sooner and the 22nd player in NCAA history to throw three perfect games in her career — and she’s done it in only 10 starts.
Parker pitched five innings as the Sooners defeated East Carolina 11-0 in the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader at Marita Hynes Field in Norman.
Parker, who struck out seven and improved to 8-2 with the victory, is the 11th player in NCAA DI history to throw three perfect games in one season.
Among the 11 to throw at least three perfect games in a season, only Cat Osterman (2002) also did it as a freshman like Parker.
