Anyone have pic of her hand at release? Just curious about how the ball leaves the hand and her finger placement.

I was looking back on Goosesdad's posts to get a sense of their point of view since they don't post much and ran across this tidbit that relates directly to what this pitch might be....
IMO first one looks like a rise, the 2nd pic to me looks like circle change

Did anyone see the clip on Wilkinson's grip on espn's WCWS broadcast? Which game was is broadcast in?
Yep, she talked about it during one of the games. That is her curve grip, or at least that's what she said.
Can't speak to the grip, but if you ever get the chance, sit behind home plate and watch the spin on her pitches. TV does not do it justice.

Grips it with the "fattie" part of the thumb. The thumb itself is positioned alongside the index, off the ball. As such, it's back in her palm a bit... hence the loss of speed. Gets actual backspin, with the axis in the upper left... when viewed from catching her. The grip results in the cup... which really aids her in achieving as good of spin as she displays. Furthermore... she spins 40+ rps... pretty wild.

Had one of my pitchers tonight that throws a rise try it out. Worked better than her bent finger grip.
