I went to that thread without paying attention and all of a sudden it was like old home week at the middle school. Then I looked at the date... lol me.

I was looking back on Goosesdad's posts to get a sense of their point of view since they don't post much and ran across this tidbit that relates directly to what this pitch might be....

Here is another view of the pitch I found. I didn't take these but saw her in this game. It looked like it might be an off-speed rise. I couldn't really tell. Got to talk with Georgia coach Glasco last summer. He said Wilkinson was throwing an off-speed rise. Based on huge cuts coming up with nothing but air and seeing both these pitchers' ERA right now, I think that's what the pitch might be.

Can't speak to the grip, but if you ever get the chance, sit behind home plate and watch the spin on her pitches. TV does not do it justice.

Grips it with the "fattie" part of the thumb. The thumb itself is positioned alongside the index, off the ball. As such, it's back in her palm a bit... hence the loss of speed. Gets actual backspin, with the axis in the upper left... when viewed from catching her. The grip results in the cup... which really aids her in achieving as good of spin as she displays. Furthermore... she spins 40+ rps... pretty wild.
