I once made the mistake of letting my DD warm up with a white softball in fluorescent lighting, NEVER did it again :(
Funny. I can totally relate.
Seems like every tournament shirt dd has is optic yellow. She likes to wear them to practices... makes for a long a hard catching session

For home use in a basement or garage. A 1x6 tapconed to the floor works great. I'm afraid a 2x6 would be too big

Thx Coach.... I'm @ the YMCA. They got a runner 3' x 50'. We are in the gym. Yea I need a 1x or 3/4" thick. It has to be secured to that mat/runner. Defenitly gotta get that shored up quick.

The fuzz... Its me setting my camera on TV @ 1/2000 60fps (Via Java) It is awesome out side, but inside I could bearly see it. Like he said...I had to turn it to a B&W. There is very little blur in the circle, but I think we are going to run outside in the cold for one shot.

I was suprised that I got any comments... I'm workin on getting better video....Guess I'll have to look into a couple cameras he recommends, if I want to do this inside... I'll get one of her, with the beautiful HD & color, even with some bluring....Tomorrow

The video quality was great for an eval--just tweak the actual, physical conditions: pitchers plate, better shoes or a cleaner floor, and it it would be much easier to evaluate.

3/4 or 1 inch is too think for a gym floor or other flat/smooth surface. I have mats in 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4" and prefer the thinner mats for indoor/smooth surfaces. I only use 3/4 mats in dirt or grass, and make every effort to recess them into dirt if I can. I bring a framing hammer, some spikes and get the top surface of the plate as close to even with the surrounding dirt/surface as possible.

Ken went to our Tractor Supply here in town... I didn't find the mat... but found this...$14.99 for two. You can drive a car on it. Took and tested... Works great. Will need to rip it down to 6" with table saw...

PC - there are some things I'm not lovin' that you might want to look at.

1. Despite the step it doesn't look like she is really engaging the right leg to allow a powerful push off. Based on this one pitch I think she can get much more out of the push off leg and can load it more as she leans and use the push much more powerfully.

2. I think her I/R whip is way past the optimum zone. If she created more of what is referred here at DFP to "brush resistance" of the bicep/elbow by pulling down the backside of the circle into that position I think her forearm whip would be much earlier and more powerful.

Like this

That is what I see in this one pitch.

Good video and a lot of good things BUT the rear video reveals what I spoke about. The space between the arm and side and the lead. Compare to many pitchers from the same view in model pitchers. I think that's a big deal.
