I once made the mistake of letting my DD warm up with a white softball in fluorescent lighting, NEVER did it again
Stop by the local farm, or a decent hardware store, and ask for some 3/8 inch stall/shop mat. Some stores sell it in 4 foot rolls and you should be able to buy any length in a 6 inch increment. Use a utility knife to cut it in half or into 6x24 inch sections. Buy a roll of gaffers tape (no-residue duct tape) and you can get 2-3 uses out of a 6 inch strip. A firm/tight knap, piece of carpet will work just as well.
I'm getting an umps mask...finally that time.
BTW--love the fuzz effect in the video. I'll wait to comment on her mechanics until she has something to push from (or eliminates the gym-step) and isn't trying to compensate for the slide at plant. If I had to guess, I'd say she's doing pretty well...

Don't ever let your pitcher wear a fluorescent yellow shirt either! Boy that was a long/scary hour...
Ken,
Do you typically see a speed difference throwing from a pitchers plate/mat as opposed to just off the gym floor?
For home use in a basement or garage. A 1x6 tapconed to the floor works great. I'm afraid a 2x6 would be too bigMaybe grippier shoes or a mop for the floor? Hate to see her get injured because her front foot slipped out from under her. The pitching part looks good.
Would be nice to get more engagement from the ball of the foot on the drive and not so much heel to toe rocking motion.
I trying to come up w/ something for her to push off of.... I better at least get a 2"x 6"x 24" and ducktape it.. Thx
She stopped me from wrappin up to throw this pitch @ ME. (it was a heater !!!) She is noticing I'm getting alittle flinchy behind the plate. Its my eyes, and the lighting in there kinda plays tricks on me. I'm getting an umps mask...finally that time.
