DD arm position is closer to 3 o'clock when stride foot lands. My video study of many pros/college pitchers appear to have a arm position closer to 1:30/2. What is the most optimal position when the stride foot lands and are there any drills to help with this?

BH in his Building the House video used to describe it as "Up Together, Down Together". DD and I would do a variation of BM's Show-it and Throw-it drill, where we would go up with the throwing arm, glove hand, and front leg(up together) on the "Show-it" and down with the arm, glove hand, and front leg (down together) on the "Throw-it").

I think, ideally, the stride foot should be *bearing weight* (not just toe-touch) by 10:00, as a general rule of thumb.

(our clocks are "flipped". When you say 3:00, I mean 9:00, and your 2:00 = my 10:00, etc. FYI...)

Thanks Corley and Knights. I had the clock reversed. I will try the drill. DD also has a really long stride so we may need to shorten it to get in the right throwing position.

If you draw a line from the stride foot at landing up to the hand look for that line to pass through the hips, torso and shoulder. Anything earlier you are working against your body. Anything much later and you are giving up some mechanical advantage/velocity.
