..I should also mention she has been gunned by her PC which is the pitching coach for a div 2 former national champs softball college team so I do believe the gun is fairly accurate.

Would the radar gun of the PC of a div 3 former national softball college team be any less accurate? Are guns used by div 1 PC's the most accurate?

I don't know riseball I was just saying that they use a pretty nice gun im thinking, not like my cheap o bushnell but not for sure. and yes MN.Dad it is MM.

All good. :) I also have one of those high end guns and by changing one setting I can easily add 5mph to every pitch. Not saying that is the case with you DD. Just know that sometime things are not as they appear. My own DD did not hit 60 as a 12YO but she cruised in the mid 50's. Now in college she works in the mid to high 60's where she gets the best mix of movement, velocity, and control. Of those 3, velocity is by far the most overrated.

My softball take on the golf "Drive for show, Putt for dough" adage is "Throw for show, Pitch for dough"

He's an extraordinary coach with an impressive resume of getting girls to the next level. He coached DD's team a few years ago and got all three pitchers to hit 60 within a year. He's good at teaching spin and movement as well. I can honestly say DD wouldn't be where she is without him. I don't believe he's ever won a D2 National championship, but he's a great coach.

I'd be curious to learn his take on I/R. He uses many of the same concepts talked about here, but I don't think he'd be considered an I/R instructor.

There was an instructor here that would promise a parent 5mph in just one lesson.
Then he'd do the ol, push the gun at the ball to accomplish it.
I guess he didn't specify how he could get that 5mph.

Jut curious why you say cheap Bushnell. I have a Bushnell and have my own opinion of how good it is but I am curious what you have found when comparing it to a high end gun.
