Ok guys I need your help! I don't think I have been that good where Santa will get me both. So the the question is which one should I pray for? Lol!
Which one would I use more?

JAD upped the ante by posting a $100 off offer for the pocket radar! Wow!

I do have a BD coming up in 6 months!

Thanks for your help!

I vote for the camera, they grow up way to fast.

I do not have a radar gun so I am allowed to lie about how fast DD pitches, some people actually believe me. :)

As much as I love both, my vote is for the camera. In 10 years, you can't play back the radar gun and cry at awesome memories. I don't care what the exit speed of my kid's first home run was. But I watch the home run video on a monthly basis.

Also, this isn't the same, but you can calculate speed to an extend from video. Especially if you shoot at a high frame rate. Just play back the video and count frames. Use a simple calculation against the number of frames.

If you already have a camera or a radar device, get the other. If you have neither or both already, get the GoPro Bro.

I do not have the new Ball Coach, but I do have a pocket radar and I would vote for the GoPro camera. Once the novelty of the pocket radar wore off it was seldom used, while the GoPro can be used to record anything!

Lmao!!! U guys r funny! Warrior mike maybe u have point!!! I guess now I am leaning towards the camera!

Josh can u get Slomo off of the go pro 3 plus? I love recording pitchers to look at their mechanics. Maybe b/c it is on my phone the video seems so far away when taken. Will that b better on a larger screen?

Watching video in slow motion is a software function that can be done on any computer. The quality of the slow motion video will depend on the quality of the camera lens and the number of frames per second the video was recorded in.

Sorry about continually posting baseball videos on a softball forum (I get in trouble at home for this too), but I can't find any of my softball videos with slow-mo's on my YouTube channel. You can do much with GoPro video's in post. I shoot most of my video at 30 frames per second, just to keep the file sizes management (a weekend worth of ball is about 60-80 GB of data). But event at 30, you can get decent slow-mo. Zooming and freeze frames are also a nice touch:

Awesome shot! So in that same video, if there was a play at third, u can zoom in on the action as well?
