How open should the shoulders get in pitching delivery ??

As Java and BM have stated...the ball should never lose the line of sight of the target. In Jennie's clip that Willy posted you can see the ball all the way around the circle.

I'm with FLOI on this one. I believe the ball swerving behind the back contributes to another dimension of lag and load.

Yea ueno really came to mind with me her arm lays over flat right around 9 her forarm hand and the ball is behind her all the way to release I know why ball has sight to catcher is advocated but I was unclear if it should be considered and absolute :)

I think the video of Finch is a riseball and I believe that for some pitchers, the ball dips much less behind the back. As an example, watch the video above of Cat and in the RB, the ball drifts much less behind the back than the curve.

An absolute? Prolly not.
An advantage? In my mind its a yes.

well would the rise ball require a more face third base all the way (easier to set up) around so it would be more visible ?

yea I understand that I just mean as how someone would teach it - due to the nature of the beast - a pc would probably working with rise due to easier to teach to set it up teach face to third
