My 13 yo DD is playing in her last TB tournament this weekend and we are beginning to talk about off-season goals for the next few months. There are several things I think she needs to work on, but I would be interested in hearing how you and your DD approach the off-season. Do you work more on conditioning and maybe a few specific things in regards to pitching, such as, a new pitch? Or do you shut down the pitching and just work on conditioning? If you continue to pitch during the off-season do you pitch fewer times per week?

Basically, I am just wondering what your off-season schedule may consist of for a typical week. Also if your DD is playing BB now that may affect what you have time to do. Thanks and have a good evening!

We just finished our last TB tournament of the season, so my DD is officially "taking a break" until after the first of the year. She will continue to do some strength and conditioning and we will continue batting and pitching lessons one day a week. It is hard to get a good time slot with a good instructor, so once you get it, you don't want to give it up! LOL This off season we are going to work on her riseball and change up.

If your DD is playing BB, you can skip and other conditioning drills - she will be in the best shape of her life at the end of the season if the coach works them hard!
