Around here, pool games are/were to work on players secondary positions or other things you wouldn't want to do in a must win game. This includes pitchers. Good time to work on development.

However, times are changing and over the past year more teams are playing pool games the same as bracket games.

The part that I hate is the "Bracket Pitcher" that shows up on Sunday. I mean teams can do what they want and all that. ANd I have seen teams do this pretty consistently without "shown-on-surface" issues. But I always wonder about the peace and tranquility of a team where the princess bracket pitcher just drops in on Sunday.

Wow, that is just terrible.

Another funny to go with bracket vs. pool is the phrase "I want a girl to push my #1". That #1 is typically coach-dads unmotivated daughter and he needs someone to push her across the finish line. Notice who's in front ;) lol

Much better to play for someone who says" if you're good, you'll play and if you're not, you won't. Unless of course, your daughter is not good. In which case you might want to work on her "pushing #1" ability. :)

Mine does the 3 pitchers/2 catchers rotation. Wish they had a third catcher. They go full games for pool and bracket. We've lost a few Sunday games we shouldn't have, typically a pitchers 2nd game of the day, so the thinking on full games for bracket is being reconsidered.
