You've never heard of playing down to the level of your competition? Are you sure you're a coach?I don't understand the laziness coming from the level of ball.

I havent posted in a while so I thought I would seek the advice of the experts.
We just finished up with our first year of school ball. Needless to say it was quiet the experience. Pretty sad really.....anyway, DD seemed to take a few steps backwards during the two month season. We are now trying to re-focus on the "little things" that add up to be the "big things".
If anyone sees anything we need to focus on, please chime in! We really appreciate it.
She looks awesome Boomers! I'm surprised you didn't make it to TX this weekend. When are you going to get Java to OK...lol!
Boomers, so I watch this video and I have to ask how far is she throwing in these?
So what are you waiting for with the rise ball? She has great mechanics to start working on it now..
For my DD, last winter was about learning/ingraining base mechanics (I/R, Drive, Posture, etc),
this Winter is about learning postural and release differences for pitches.
Sounds like we are in same boat?
That's not to say that the base mechanics still don't need refinement,
just that she's ready and it's an appropriate time to begin to implement "phase II".
In addition to a FB and Change, she's begun work on a corkscrew curve and a roll-over drop.
(My DD is a lot like yours in that she has developed good "reverse posture" and also isn't a "natural" for the drop with her base posture.)
