how far would you be willing to drive your DD to team practice/games? would it be silly to consider driving 2 hours to another state, but DD gets the chance to be on a team that has very good potential to be recognized by college scouts?

just wondering what's your limit.

Is this the only option? Understand that the work that your DD puts into the process is far and away more important than anything that a TB coach or organization will provide. This from a HC in a 25 year old organization that is viewed as pretty successful. Our efforts are centered around educating the families on the process and getting your DD to do the right things to make her successful. Yes, we have some great connections and can help things along. But if your DD is not all in with regard to working the process, the actions of myself or my AC's do not matter much. I would be shocked if there were not other more productive options. The 4+ hours spent driving might be better spent on tee-work, strength and agility, or sending hand written notes to coaches.

i've thought of that. 4 hours on the road is wasted time.
it's DD's former PC that moved out of town and called a few weeks back asking if DD's interested.

In my experience, long distance relationships do not work well. Pardon my skepticism but I have to wonder if they need her more than she needs them.

DD plays 12U for a team based about a 1HR. Drive away for us. We make the trip 2x/week. It does not seem excessive to me, but 2hrs each way does...

There are local teams she could play for but, this current one is the best fit for a number of reasons.

That's the truth. My kid liked the team and they were the best team in the state.

Did you fall on your head when you were pushed off the wall? However, next week I am flying 8 hours get to Orlando, then getting in a car and driving 6 hours one way to see my DD pitch against SC. But 10U??? Must have been a damn good team. :)
