what's you number 1 speed building drill or exercise? and why?

I use a 16 inch ball and then, a 14 inch ball, and then, the 12. They are not weighted but the girl's grip and motion, need to be correct. It is fun and different and they say the 12 inch ball feels like a baseball, then.

Closed kinetic chain excercises (CKCE). Why? Muscular co-contractions.

Strength does not equal speed, so lift (open kinetic chain excercises) to your hearts content, it won't improve speed at all. Running (or any endurance training) does not equal speed - so running isn't going to do it either. Both have been quantified with extensive studies.

Furthermore, CKCE's have been shown to be just as effective for strength training. For performance enhancements, nothing comes close... I tried to get a group going on this... but that thread was deleted... :(

I don't think it was deleted. I think it was a server upgrade casualty.
