Odd, but Pitcher throws rise-curve better than fastball

I find it odd that one of my pitchers (the lanky one with long fingers and hands and everything else) throws her rise-curve more consistently than her fastball-drop.

The theory I have to explain it is this...... With the riseball-curve release her wrist is more secure due to her hand being turned all the way out so as to get under the ball with her fingers (no floppiness there). But with the standard fastball-drop release, her hand is a bit floppy, even with slight brush interference. I think it's due to a weak, overly floppy wrist. I know.. I know.. You'd think that would be an advantage for throwing hard, but I think it's more an advantage throwing the riseball--she's able to really turn her hand (likely more than others can).

Any ideas on what we might do to get greater accuracy with the fastball-drop. Given she has LONG fingers, she's using a two-finger fastball.

As a corollary, due to her very long fingers/hands, we're finding the two-fingers-tucked knuckleball grip thrown with a fastball release to be working best as her change-up. Why? I think it's due to hand-cuffing those first two long fingers by tucking them such that the surface of the fingernails is against the ball and using the fastball release, but the fingers push over the top of the ball giving it a slight forward spin.
