That's a pretty cool idea. Definitely takes out two of the biggest problems with pitching machines - pre-motion speed not matching pitch speed, and knucklehead feeders who make an arm circle then take five minutes to find the chute to put the ball in.

My only question is why this is needed...

Baseball players somehow struggle along with out a pitching machine that emulates a "real" pitching motion.

I think it offers a useful cue to help time the start of the motion. I also like the idea of the double wheel for more realistic spins if it's adjustable.

Hold a ball in your left hand and a ball in your right hand. Make an arm circle with your right arm as you feed the ball in your left hand into the machine. Why is this difficult?

Exactly, and if you're coordinated enough, use the ball in your right hand to tap the ball in your left hand causing it to enter the chute.

I like the motion. Only thing I don't like is a feel the ball would ALWAYS be a flat fastball by the tri-wheel. If you have the right loader for the traditional double wheel, you can apply pressure to the ball or drag, and get the machine pitched ball to move differently.

An indoor facility has one when it got worn a little the ball will hang in the circle, slow down and be inconsistent in the circle. IMO it did not help much with the problems I seen this one have.

The Irion Mike pitching machine emulates a pitching motion.
